Anthony Keane

Anthony Keane is a senior lecturer in the Department of Informatics at the Institute of Technology in Blanchardstown. He is also a principle investigator in the Security Research Lab, located in the Learning & Innovation Centre in ITB where he has several master and doctoral research students working with industrial partners like IBM, Dell and BH-Consulting. Main research areas covered are Network and Cyber Security, Digital and Cloud Forensics, Cyber Bullying, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Anthony has worked as a computer consultant and software engineer and received his PhD from University College Dublin in 1997. He is a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society and member of the Third Level Computer Forum.

Anthony is currently a board member of InfoSecurity Ireland (ISI), IRISS and the Irish Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance. And as the Irish academic contact for the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), has helped organize events in security awareness & training, funded through the EU.
