Meteor, a subsidiary of eir, was established in 2001 and now has over one million subscribers and over 20% market share. Meteor offers a range of innovative data and voice offerings to both the prepay and post pay segments, using 4G, 3G and 2G technologies. It was first to launch 4G services in Ireland in 2013, which now covers 83% population coverage.

Today, after expanding our capabilities even further, to cater for greater needs, we are well positioned in the Irish market as a pioneering network that puts its customers’ interests first. Since launch in 2001, the student and educational market has been central to our success and a key customer segment for our Mobile Broadband products.
