Richard Bolger is a DIT and DCU graduate has been lecturing with DCU since 2011.

He teaches Programming and Database Theory to distance education students enrolled in DCU Connected courses.

Prior to DCU Richard worked in a variety of companies including National Instruments, FORE Systems, and Eircom. As a member of the Design Authority Group in Eircom, Richard was responsible for the network architecture required to deliver National Broadband, IPTV and Public WiFi services.

His research interests include Image Compression, Carrier Scale Networking, Big Data and Distance Education.
